I recently found your channel and I find it very interesting, and I am saying this from the pov of a person with 15 years of studying Art History, but the thing I cannot miss is the mispronunciation and the changing pronunciation of a lot of the artists. Francois Boucher was pronounced three different ways, and the video about Parmigianino had so many variations that I just couldn't watch it.

This was a fascinating walk through Rockwell’s process. Thank you for the creative presentation. More like this! Would also be interesting to have a video contrasting the processes/approach of two different leading artists/illustrators.

I was hoping for great things but when I heard his father described as a "knotary" I lost faith in the scholarship of the re-enactment.

Hieronymus Bosch must have had horrid visions of the apocalypse to be painting these scenes ..

I had to turn it off. They may have asked some tough questions but they didn't make him answer. Instead he rambled on and on and on, repeating himself in each answer.

While I have seen the painting that's here in Frankfurt at the Städel (think I read they have the second largest collection of paintings from middle ages) I didn't know or understand what the story behind it was. I can't wait to go back soon to visit it with new eyes! this was a wonderful biography of his works and life. You have earned a new subscriber!

Caravaggio is perhaps underrated. He is in my opinion better than Rembrandt.

You call this talent? genius? It's garbage, even at night. I wouldn't give a quarter for the entire lot of this ding-a-lings 'work'.

Peter Robb wrote an excellent book on the man....M, the man who became Caravaggio" good read.

He really depicted the common run of humanity accurately. Bestial faces, the visible ugliness of ugly souls, bullies and psychopaths and criminals very often have faces that wouldn't be out of place in a Bosch painting.

A very thorough presentation, when it got to John the Baptist around 1:19 it started to feel like child porn. He was a very talented artist but I tend to agree with the clergy of his day there was too much profanity. His technique is legendary
